baby cardinal
I was just saying the day before this little guy/girl showed up how much I was hoping that we would have baby cardinals at our feeder again this year. Yay!
Cedar Waxwing in our cedar tree!
Wildlife central here. The waxwings have come to our yard and ever since then I hear them here every day ... for weeks! I was just saying we probably will have a hard time attracting more birds than we already have to our yard .. when the cedar waxwings showed up. I am pleased to be wrong!
Cecropia Moth
OK so I was really loving this guy (we think it was a male) and had to get pics from all angles. He was mostly cooperative .. even flashed his wings at us to try to scare us away. He was in the garden all day so we got lots of chances to observe him.

So beautiful! The biggest moth in North America (north of Mexico) and here it was in our "butterfly garden."
