killdeer
Went to dr and took a walk at Fort Trumbull on the way home. Watched a pair of killdeer for a long time.
it is like spring!
Neighbor cutting down more trees today. Sigh. We played in the sun. L even! Watched neighbors roof being replaced. Feels like we are getting back to normal .. glad to say it was true but at the time it felt too good to be true.
e and his artwork
J took e to church and then e and I went to first sunday at Lyman Allyn. It was fun to walk through the exhibits .. he had a lot more interest than I expected. Then we played outside on the sculptures and went grocery shopping. A good day. I got a nice long run in too. Later L reached her worst and we ended up at the ER. But it is much better now that I am looking back at all this!
horned lark
I escaped house of sick for a little while and went birding at Hammonasset with T and A. It was sunny and so nice to be out and about. We had a quiet start. We ended up seeing lots of usual birds .. but then finally .. horned larks (a first!) and a red-throated loon! I took a few detours on my way home too.
marine bio class
We attempted our class .. but L could not hear anything. e had a great time though .. esp pretending we were on a submarine deep underwater when we were actually in the parking garage and then the supply closet. Love it.
old stone house on pequot trail
Wish I knew the real story of this house. I have been going by for years and I am glad it is still there. Apparently I was feeling cooped up too since I am taking the kids for drives ..
my grocery shopping partner
While L was sick .. e was feeling cooped up. We made a point of getting out on the weekends and evenings. e was my great grocery shopping helper and laundry helper. Great to spend some time just with him. :) Trying to look on the bright side of this ..
hot cocoa at noah's
Long absence here .. L was really sick, lost her hearing, got a little better, got much much worse .. we were back and forth from dr's office, even a trip to the ER and a few moments of panic mixed in. But thankfully, she is almost fully recovered now. Just a bit tired. Here we are at Noah's one morning in the midst of all that crazy .. poor kid with cotton balls in her ears. This was when she was feeling a little better and we had just been to the dr office. A moment of calm.
