So we made it! Kids loved the ride on the metro .. then we wandered around the smithsonian and the nat'l mall .. and then walked to chinatown. We had a delicious dinner at a little hole in the wall Indian restaurant. And bought cupcakes for dessert. It was chilly and rainy .. but we all had a great evening. Back to our fancy hotel (yay for hotwire) so we can see a lot more tomorrow.
